What is a Box Opening?

A Box opening is where everyone contributes to the cost of a box or multiple boxes. Everyone then gets assigned randomly. The box will then be opened in store, and everyone will get the cards of their designated slot!

General Opening Information

Always remember to check the description of each opening for details and the time it will be hosted! If there are any special rules or conditions for the opening, they will be specified in the description. To participate in a Box Opening you must be able to pick up the cards or add for shipping. 

Before an opening

Before the opening begins, we sell each slot (at random unless stated otherwise upon purchase). The options randomized in an opening differ based on the product. More likely than not, these are the following options.

Pokemon

• Grass
• Fire
• Water
• Electric
• Psychic
• Fighting
• Dark
• Steel
• Colorless
• Trainer

MTG

• White
• Blue
• Black
• Red
• Green
• Multi
• Colourless/Lands

Sports

Random teams, or player depending on the products open. 

Multiple Players on 1 Card

Some cards will feature multiple players or characters on a single card, which can split where the card is supposed to go. In this scenario, we will use a randomizer to determine who gets the card. If a card has 2 Players on Team A and 1 Player on Team B, the person assigned to Team A will have their name in the randomizer Twice; and Team B will have it once. This pattern continues for any amount of players, and different teams. 

No Team Specified

Some cards in a product will have Players on different teams. Such as International teams like Team Canada. In the case of these cards, they will be assigned to the Team the Player is currently on (or if retired, the last team they were on). 

Purchasing a spot

Once you decide to participate in a box opening, you acknowledge you have read and understood our description of the Box Opening and our general Box Opening rules. If you wish to have tracking on your purchase, there will be an additional fee. Spots are available to purchase in store or online at our website.

Only Hits!

Our Box Openings will USUALLY NOT include the base. This means commons and uncommons, or otherwise very low value cards. You get your HITS out of the product we open for your slot unless stated otherwise in the description of the opening. This is to avoid extra costs with sorting (and shipping) out hundreds of cards of very low value.

Everyone's a Winner!

We don’t want this to be a lottery system! We want everyone to receive something, unfortunately you may not always have a hit in your spot. Whenever this ends up happening, we will be issuing box opening credit that can be used into future box openings with us! The amount will depend on the opening so be sure to read the description! It will typically be $5, but if there's anything different it will be specified. 

Return/Refund Policy

Due to full randomization in an opening, we do NOT offer any return or refund. If there is an issue with the product regarding damage upon opening, we will do our best to handle any sort of communication with the company involved. If we open a card we would be interested in, we may communicate directly with you asking if you’d like to sell it. Please NEVER feel obligated to sell us anything we open for you! We love seeing others get sweet cards and that’s why we chose to open! 

Card Grading

We submit cards to PSA and BGS for ourselves and customers. If we open a card in your slot that you would like to get graded, please let us know and we can arrange to have your card on the next submission!
